ATIP Analyst

Must have experience working with ATIPflow and ATIP Image

Previous work experience processing requests related to the Access to Information Act and/or the Privacy Act. The candidate will be expected to interpret simple and complex records and identify information relevant to third parties, undertake consultations, apply exemptions and prepare related analytical and file notes and correspondence. Must be able to identify the information that may be disclosed or subject to legislated exemptions to ensure that the disclosure of information is in compliance with legal requirements; lead consultations with other government agencies and third parties (program partners) concerning perceived risks that may be associated with the release of information; write memoranda and correspondence pertaining to the processing of Access to Information and/or Privacy Act requests; and if required and upon direction given by the ATIP Manager, explain the Agency's position in order to satisfy the investigation on the correctness of the action taken by the Agency, and negotiate a solution that the Information and/or Privacy Commissioners of Canada, and the Agency deem satisfactory to resolve the complaint. An understanding of the Access to Information and Privacy Acts are required to efficiently process the requests.

Processing access to information requests under the Access to Information Act - determining what information is relevant to the requests, reviewing the information for possible exemptions or exclusions under the Act, preparing documentation for approval of senior management and preparing responses to applicants, contacting applications as required. Experience working with the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act. Photocopying, severing and scanning classified records, proofreading of severed material; preparation of outgoing documents such as cabinet confidence schedules and covering memos and transmittal slips, inputting information into the ATIPflow tracking system and production of weekly reports; processing incoming and outgoing mail; logging incoming and outgoing registry files; retrieving and PA'ing files; answering phones for the Access to Information and Privacy Division.

Expertise on internal controls and audit working papers. Auditing financial statements. Assessment of proper internal controls and the necessary documentation to successfully complete the financial statement audit. The Auditor should hold a Chartered Account designation and have 18 months to 2 years work experience in evaluating and/or auditing internal controls in a Government of Canada environment. Assist Comptrollership Branch staff in identifying and documenting internal controls and audit working papers necessary to successful complete the conversion to audited financial statements. Identify and document, gaps and weaknesses in existing control processes. Propose solutions to address gaps. Prepare and/or review dataflow diagrams of accounting processes, including controls, key and secondary.

Junior Auditor

A professional accounting designation, a degree with an acceptable specialization in accounting or a three year community college diploma in accounting. Two years compliance audit experience. Experience with interviewing and preparation of audit working papers. Experience with audit of federal transfer payment or contribution programs. Experience with auditing aboriginal organizations. Experience with working paper software.

PG (Procurement Group)

A minimum of (5) years experience (recent experience desirable) in a contracting for services environment including in the development and preparation of solicitation documents and contracts, and in contract review process related to services contracts preferably in the Canadian federal government procurement environment. Experience in providing expert level advice and interpretation of various Canadian federal procurement policies and trade agreements related to goods and services contracts. Experience in posting solicitation documents on MERX. Experience in writing management reports.

Experience in Government's contracting for a wide variety of goods and services. Experience in procurement competitive process.
Experience in processing call-up against a standing offer.
